Corrections

A local paper that quietly edits its mistakes is worth less than one that admits them. So the rule here is simple: when we correct something, the correction stays visible.

What happens when you report an error. We check it. If we got it wrong, we fix the story and add a note at the bottom saying what was wrong and when we changed it. The note stays permanently. We do not silently swap a wrong number for a right one.

What counts. Wrong names, wrong numbers, wrong dates, wrong street, wrong attribution, a quote we got sideways, a hashgacha listed incorrectly. Also anything about a business that is out of date, since a listing that was right last year can be wrong today.

Typos get fixed without a note. Facts do not.

Disagreements about framing are not corrections, but we still want to hear them, and if you think a story was unfair rather than inaccurate, say so and we will read it properly.
