Early voting opens in Nassau County ahead of November 3 election
Residents can vote at designated sites from Oct. 24 through Nov. 1, with extended hours at Mineola on two days.
Nassau County residents can cast ballots early for the 2026 election, according to 5 Towns Central. Early voting runs Saturday, Oct. 24, through Sunday, Nov. 1. Voters may use any of the county's designated early voting sites, not only the one assigned to their district.
Most sites are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Mineola Board of Elections site stays open until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, and Wednesday, Oct. 28. Locations include libraries, recreation and community centers, and other sites across the county, among them Lawrence, Hewlett-area neighbours Baldwin and West Hempstead, plus Freeport, Long Beach, Great Neck and Hicksville.
Anyone who votes early cannot vote again on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3, when voters must go to their assigned polling place. The source advises checking the full schedule before going, since sites and hours may change. The complete list is on the Nassau County Board of Elections website, nassauvotes.com.
