Cedarhurst fire under control, stores closed
Crews have a Cedarhurst Avenue fire under control; the cause is under investigation.
A fire on Cedarhurst Avenue is under control as of 9:15 a.m., according to 5 Towns Central. Initial reports said the fire involved the HVAC area in the rear of a building.
The cause is still being investigated. The area from Central to Maple is blocked off, and stores on that side of the avenue are not operational, including Central Perk and Suit Lady. The outlet suggests calling ahead before visiting a store in the area today.
