Five Towns Community Succos Fair returns to Andrew J. Parise Park
Annual three-day event in Cedarhurst runs Sept. 29 through Oct. 1.
The Five Towns Community Succos Fair returns to Andrew J. Parise Park in Cedarhurst from Sept. 29 through Oct. 1. The annual event, hosted by the Marion & Aaron Gural JCC with Community Chest South Shore, runs daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and features rides, food, a petting zoo, face painting and live entertainment, according to the Nassau Herald.
Live entertainment is scheduled at 1 and 3 p.m. each day. Ari Kunzler performs Sept. 29, the Schnitzel Guys Extreme Game Show takes the stage Sept. 30, and comedian and ventriloquist John Pizzi performs Oct. 1. Gural JCC executive director Stacey Feldman said the fair draws thousands of people and brings together families from Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island and New Jersey.
Feldman said organizing the event takes months of work with Nassau County, showmobiles, Health Department permits and local officials. She thanked the Cedarhurst Auxiliary Police, the Village of Cedarhurst, Mayor Benjamin Weinstock and the Fourth Precinct. Weinstock said the village is proud to host the fair and that it helps the JCC raise funds for its programs.
Community Chest South Shore has run a fair in the Five Towns for generations, and the partnership with the Gural JCC began in 2019 when the fair moved to the intermediate days of Succos.
