Woman dies after car crashes into Hewlett Bay Park pool
Police say the driver lost control on a residential driveway, hit a tree and a parked car, then went into the water.
A 40-year-old woman died Aug. 21 after her GMC crashed into a tree, struck a parked Honda and ended up in an in-ground swimming pool on Elinor Road in Hewlett Bay Park, Nassau County police said.
Police said the woman lost control of the 2023 GMC in the driveway. She was pulled from the vehicle before officers arrived, and responding officers started lifesaving measures. She was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing.
