Water main break closes lanes on Broadway in Hewlett
Police advise drivers to find alternate routes between West Broadway and East Rockaway Road.
All eastbound lanes and two westbound lanes are closed on Broadway between West Broadway and East Rockaway Road because of a water main break, Nassau County police said in a traffic advisory.
Police advised motorists to use alternate routes. There is no word yet on when the lanes will reopen or what caused the break.
