Hewlett-Woodmere names Reina Hall principal of Ogden Elementary
Hall, an 18-year district educator, succeeds Nicola Lynch on July 21, 2026.
The Hewlett-Woodmere school district announced that Reina Hall will become principal of Ogden Elementary School on July 21, 2026. The Board of Education approved the appointment at a special meeting the day before. Hall succeeds Nicola Lynch.
Hall has spent 18 of her 23 years in education in the district. She has been assistant principal at Hewlett Elementary since 2024 and before that taught special education for 16 years, including in the Integrated Co-Teaching and self-contained 12:1:1 programs. She also served as assistant principal of the district's Summer Learning Academy in 2022 and 2023 and as technology integration lead teacher in 2023 and 2024. She began her career teaching fifth grade at PS 14 Fairview School in Queens from 2003 to 2008.
Hall holds an advanced certificate in educational leadership from Long Island University, C.W. Post, a master's degree in special education from St. John's University and a bachelor's degree in elementary education from St. Bonaventure University. Her awards include the SEPTA Teacher Recognition Award and the United Federation of Teachers New Teacher of the Year Award.
Superintendent Dina Anzalone said Hall stood out among a strong candidate pool and has earned the trust of the community. Hall said she is honored and plans to build on Ogden's foundation while working with staff and families.
