Expanded Washington Avenue parking field expected to open in two to three weeks

Cedarhurst expects the expanded Washington Avenue Parking Field #10 to be substantially complete and ready for use in roughly two to three weeks, weather permitting and barring unforeseen construction issues, the village announced.
The project will double the field's capacity, adding approximately 50 spaces, according to village officials, who cited months of planning, site work, drainage improvements, lighting coordination, layout revisions, and paving. Mayor Benjamin Weinstock joined Deputy Mayor Ari Brown and trustees Israel Wasser and Daniel Plaut at the site to mark the progress.
Weinstock said convenient parking is essential to preserving the village's character and supporting local commerce as Cedarhurst attracts more shoppers and visitors. The village did not release a cost figure or a firm opening date.
