Free Tuesday night shows at Andrew J. Parise Park run eight weeks starting July 7, with a Salute to America's 250th anniversary on opening night.
The Village of Cedarhurst has released the schedule for its 29th annual Tuesday Night Summer Concert Series at Andrew J. Parise Park, according to the Nassau Herald. Opening night is July 7 at 7 p.m. with a Salute to the 250th Anniversary of America and Our Veterans, honoring the nation's semiquincentennial and recognizing military veterans with patriotic entertainment. Village officials are asking residents to bring lawn chairs and blankets and to arrive early for lawn space.
The eight-week series continues with a Night of Irish Music on July 14, Rock, Pop and Doo-Wop Night on July 21, a Night of Italian Music on July 28, and Dance the Night Away on Aug. 4. An Evening of Country Music follows on Aug. 11, then two Jewish music nights close out the series: Cedarhurst Presents a Night of Jewish Music on Aug. 18 and Gourmet Glatt Presents a Night of Jewish Music on Aug. 25. All shows start at 7 p.m., with pre-show entertainment on select evenings.
Every concert is free and open to the public. The village says the series is funded by local sponsors and has drawn tens of thousands of attendees over nearly three decades.
