Nassau County police are investigating after a body was found in a marsh area of North Woodmere Park, according to the Nassau Herald. Officers responded to the park around 11 a.m. on June 16 after getting a report of what looked like a body floating in the water.

When officers arrived, they confirmed a human body was in the marsh. Police have not released the identity of the person, pending notification of family. The investigation is ongoing.
