PSEG to inspect power lines via helicopter

Cedarhurst village says low-altitude flights will run June 8 to 19.

Cedarhurst village has been told that PSEG Long Island will inspect power lines and towers from the air starting June 8, 2026, through June 19, 2026. Residents may see a helicopter flying low or hovering for a while. The village says there is no cause for alarm, as the work is routine.

The helicopter is light gray with blue lettering reading “UTILITY PATROL.” Anyone with questions can call PSEG Long Island Customer Service at 1-800-490-0025.
